Tuesday, November 26 - 5:00-6:00 pm - College Credit Plus Student/Parenting Meeting

Is your student college ready? Have they scored remediation free scores on the ACT (English - 18, Math-22, Reading-22) or will they be taking the ACT by February of this school year? If so, College Credit Plus may be for them.

Is your student interested in a career in Business? The Stark State program may be just what they need! These students would need to take the ACT or the Accuplacer to qualify for College Credit Plus courses.

This meeting is a requirement for any interested student to participate. Parents and students should both attend. The meeting will outline benefits and risks to participation and provide information regarding courses offered at WHS/local colleges.

OSU ATI, University of Akron Wayne College, Stark State College and Mount Vernon Nazarene University representatives will be available to answer your questions.

Mandatory paperwork that must be on file prior to participation will be distributed and signed at this meeting.

Current CCP Students do NOT need to attend the meeting, but MUST pick up an Intent to Participate form from Mrs. Troyer prior to Christmas break. New paperwork is required by the state for participation each year.

Make-Up AIR/EOC Testing - Students testing will receive a letter in the mail
End-of-Course exams (often referred to as AIR) are required for Graduation. Students must earn a minimum of 18 points out of a possible 35 to meet graduation requirements. Letters will be sent home for any sophomore, junior or senior needing to re-take a test due to low scores in March. ACT
DATE: Tuesday, February 25
ACT @ WHS - Juniors will take the ACT without writing. Career Center students will report to WHS on this date to test and will leave for the WCSCC when testing is completed. Bus transportation is available for students (approximately 11:15 am). There is no fee for this ACT test. Testing Session begins at 7:30 am.
End-of-Course Exams (EOC's) - Please do not schedule any appointments during these testing dates. Thank you!
April 20 & 21 - ELA II
April 28 - Biology (7:30 am)
April 29 - Algebra (7:30 am) & Geometry (11:00 am)
April 30 - Government ( 7:30 am) & American History (11:00 am)
